I got a minor vigor rune. The trader however no longer accepts you trading in minor vigor runes, or at least he doesn't for me. I could make an easy 1-2plat with that too...

What amazes me is that ever since the Sup Absorb rune dropped to an astounding 500g coming from 100k i now had more than 10 drop.
Why couldn't this happen when there was actually money involved?

That would be because they changed the drop rate of them. I can't go out of Hot Springs without tripping over a minor abs, and I have gotten at least 10 Superiors since Factions came out. Since only warriors can use them and people are playing other profesions the price has hit bottom. I really wish they made them universal....

As for vigors, I think my last minor one was almost a month ago now. Currently I am tripping over attunement and vitae runes.

The price at the trader was set lower causing the 100k price to vanish. lol

The minor vigor gotten from the rune trader quest can't be traded, iirc...

WRONG

the price was dropped by increasing the drop rate so you cant go out now without tripping over them.

most of the people who bought a superior for their own use have more than they can use and are selling them.

increased supply equals a glut on the market equals rock bottom prices.

conspiracy theory number xxxxxx shot down......again

I believe the Absorption prices dropped after the introduction of 100 AL armor, plus it only reduces physical damage by three... blah blah.. I could be wrong, though.

minor runes are dropping like candy. which is GREAT because they dropped so scarcely in factions.

You are, sorry. The price of absorbtion runes dropped BEFORE the warrior nerf. The price at trader is based on the offer/demand from players. The more sellers and the less buyers, the cheaper. That's it. As said before, the price dropped because the drop rate increased. The demand is as high as before: no warrior stopped putting absorb runes on his armor after the warrior nerf.

In fact, I seem to remember the traders running out and the prices from PC-PC trades climbing to around 20K or so immediately after the nerf - all those people wanting to replace those Knight's boots with Sup Absorption that suddenly weren't so cheesy as they used to be.

They're still worthwhile - after all, there's no drawback, so unless you're pretty certain you aren't going to be facing physical damage, why not? Although some of the newer runes such as the ones that reduce condition durations could provide some competition...

Also, a.net changed the wording on the rune. It used to only say "reduces damage" and didn't describe the -3 damage (just like other Superior runes didn't explictly say they added +3 attributes). As such, a lot of people didn't really know what they did. When that update was introduced, the average player realized that it was a bit overpriced and it droped from around 100k to around 80k, where it then held stable at. Then Factions came out and a.net added the update (which was in the update notes for all you nonbelievers), explaining that they increased the drop rate of them. As soon as that happened, prices plummetted as people who had extra runes began selling them to profit while they could. As prices dropped due to the mass sellings, supply also began to rise due to increased drop rate.
